The Priest Community Forest Connection (PCFC) has set up a Resource Center to assist forest contractors and workers and any citizen interested in forest projects. There are training programs and a number of project opportunities the PCFC keeps abreast of and can share with those who are interested.

In an effort to advertise upcoming Requests for Proposals for the ongoing Lakeface-Lamb Forest Stewardship Project, this website will act as the bridge between potential contractors and the remaining activities on the Lakeface-Lamb project.

Priest River Development Corporation (PRDC) is the prime contractor on the Lakeface-Lamb project. An Advisory Committee to PRDC runs the day-to-day activities of the project. They devised a rating system that they use to award RFP's - out of a possible 100 points, criteria are evaluated as follows.

  • 0 - 50 > Best value - cost, price
  • 0 - 10 > Past performance and qualifications of the contracting company
  • 0 - 10 > Past performance and qualifications of company manager(s) i.e lead personnel
  • 0 - 10 > Past performance within strict on-the-job time frames
  • 0 -10 > Management approach for staffing ~ methodology during on-site activities
  • 0 -10 > Utilization of local workforce and/or ability and willingness to train local workers

The PCFC is proud of the number of contractors and their employees that have participated in the Lakeface-Lamb Forest Stewardship Project. This hardworking, dedicated group of mostly local workers has performed above and beyond on a complex, ever-changing stewardship contract.
